The Callisia Fragrans, aka ‘Basket plant’, needs minimal care and is perfect for beginners. Generally, the leaves are light green with streaks of cream. It can be grown in a pot or in the ground. 

This plant is commonly used as a shady ground cover in outdoor landscapes. They are commonly called “inch plants” because of how they inch along the ground, rooting wherever their plantlets come into contact with soil.
